Because I root for badass guys with a good heart, if you know what I mean.

Okay, City Hunter isn’t a perfect drama. It has its own flaws and has dragging middle episodes, too. But I just love how despite its imperfections – it still managed to move my emotions, kept me on the edge of my seat, got me root for the characters, and surprised me with gripping cliffhangers and twists.
It was cleverly directed and edited, showing much of the story in visuals as it did in dialogues; has one of the most thought-out story development I’ve seen (tackling a highly sensitive issue in the current national system, dirty politics) — logical, consistent and not something manipulated for the sake of entertainment; was scored with music that complements the mood and its wonderful cinematography; and strongly played cast whose secondary characters were just as good as the leads. Along with a cool female lead who protects life and kicks asses, too. No more damsels in distress here. Heh.
I usually go for kdramas to feel the usual romantic fairytale ambience they are known for. This is the first action/mystery/suspense Korean series I’ve seen in its entirety. And in a good way, it reminded me of my childhood dream to become an assassin. Yes, you read it right. Once upon time, in my own world, I used to be a heroine of my own fictional story where I fight evil and save the weak. That’s what City Hunter is to me now. It gets me right there, that place in my heart where the kiddo in me still believes that justice and good conscience will always prevail.
With all the suspense, tension and heartbreak, revenge thriller is just awesome. Gak, I almost died in heart attack. I’m happy that the drama ended as strong as it came in. And yes, the good outweighs the bad.
Here’s me, hoping for a Season 2. ♥

I’ve notice this since Boys Over Flowers… how does he makes his eyes fill with tears gradually, and then control when it’d fall. I’ve never seen any actor do it like he does. Mahusay!

Fierce, vulnerable, has an intense charisma onscreen and an emotional connection with the camera. *me faints*

Ooh, Lee Minho is more than just a cute face. He’s a great actor! Ahuh, you’re right, I’m a fan.
