12 Books to Read in 2012

While I was going through my stuffs, I discover so, so many of my books left unread! Oh well, I keep on buying but I just stock them up inside my closet. Such a bad habit, I know. But I really, really love books. And I hope that I’ll have plenty of time to read all of them one day.

I know I’ve already started a few pages on some but since I’ve read those ages ago, I think I will need to start all over again. Ha! So part of my 2012 resolution, is to read more and more of my books (if not all) before the words are washed away.

When I was younger, I used to finish a book in a day. But when life started to get hectic with work, real-life responsibilities, series and movies to watch, errands, events and online social networking activities, I hardly finish my reads. This year, I only completed reading a shameful number of 4 books. Aargh! Too many things to do, so little time, right?

So I’m going to give myself a challenge next year and that is to read at least 1 book each month. I know, to some, that’s a piece of cake. But I’m trying to be realistic and considerate with all the other things I have (and I want) to do. A-huh, a super girl wanna be, that’s me. ^_^

Here are the first 12 books I plan to complete. (There’s still a lot more!!) I’ll update this list every time I finish a book. So if this becomes dormant for months, remind me! Hee! ;)

"My heart loves a roller coaster ride. I cry. I laugh. I fall in love. Sometimes, cautiously. Oftentimes, recklessly. My mind is on a constant marathon. Running. Running away. Changing pace. Turning around. But never stopping. My dreams keep on flying. I may not reach the sky, but I will never ever take a dive. My hands touch other people’s lives. Constantly. As if that is the reason for my being. But most of all, I am wonderful, because I am both steel and cotton candy and everything in between.."

  1. The Book Thief is such an amazing book! You’ll love it! :)

The hunger games is a great series (and easy to read :P ), and i think its safe to say that if you don’t like the first book the other two wont be to your taste either.

  3. I’m plugged into a program called 12 books in 2012. Its an online book group in which the authors lead the discussion of the books we are reading. Your suggestion, “8 Habits of the Happy Millionaire” would be perfect for that group at http://www.12booksin2012.com
